RIKEN Wako Branch

Safety and training

Conducting safe and ethical experiments is very important at RIKEN. Special training courses are held by the Wako Safety Center on the Wako campus to ensure that certain procedures are handled in the safest and most appropriate manner.  To start your research experiment efficiently and timely, and if you will be working in any of the areas in the chart, you will need to enroll in the appropriate course. The RIKEN laboratory that you work with will be able to assist you in making an appointment or asking any questions.

Notes
Certain research/study materials and components are subject to regulatory restrictions; these include but are not limited to: radioactive, chemical and biological materials, and human subjects. For the transfer of any of these materials to RIKEN, make sure that all the relevant procedures and authorizations have been completed at RIKEN. Please allow time to complete the procedures if a prior approval application to a designated authority is required.
