International SOS Japan provides 24 hour - 7 day medical and security assistance services to foreign researchers (fulltime) and their accompanying family members at Wako Branch.

1. Medical consultation and advice by phone
2. Information on clinics/hospitals, doctor appointments, transportation, and interpretation services by phone
3. Medical document translation over the phone; FAX document first, include RIKEN password and name, and then call for an explanation.
4. Medical information specific to many different countries including Japan on a members-only website

<Security (public safety) assistance service>

1. Security advice by phone
2. Security information in many different countries including Japan on a members-only website
